I’m Dr. Hannes Thaller,
an entrepreneur who builds dream teams of creators and AI co-workers.

I have always been fascinated by simulations that allow engineers to feel and touch their creations. During my doctorate at JKU, my goal was to build intelligent tools for software developers that do precisely that — feeling and touching software. The result of my research was Probabilistic Software Modeling, a method to simulate software by constructing the full joint distribution of the system's software components. In addition, I was teaching and supporting more than 10 computer science lectures over 8 years.

After my time in academia, I collaborated with teams worldwide to research and build AI-driven systems. At smec, I contributed to and later led the bidding system team, developing hundreds of machine learning models daily to optimize ad spend and bidding strategies. Later, I founded Sourceflow, a consulting firm where I helped startups like Epoch and Unbound build their AI products.

I'm currently focused on Segmnts as its co-founder and CEO. Our vision is to build the dream team of creators and AI co-workers for the AI-driven future. Segmnts is an AI-native platform that replaces fragmented office tools with a unified, collaborative workspace—where humans and AI agents work as equals.

In my free time, I love to disrupt myself by nomading across the globe, living in different cultures, gaining new perspectives, and surfing the best waves.
